Not if he isn't on the birth certificate.
But here is the catch, any male can request a court ordered paternity test that you will be required to take. The father's do have rights. I'm a true-beleiver in putting 'father unknown' on birth certificates where they mother doesn't want the man involved; but, you have to make sure he doesn't know the baby exist or like I said, he could demand a the test.

He would have to really want to *get* rights--file motions, request a DNA test, etc. But if he has it proved that he's the father, then yes, he has rights. However, that would also mean he wants to be an involved father, so it's not necessarily a bad thing. I will assume you had good reasons for not letting him know, because otherwise, if he's a decent guy, then that's a little low.

He has rights if he is aware of the child having been born. If he has no idea you had a child then you have nothing to worry about. If he does know about your kid he may want to contest paternity in which case you may have to do pending a court order. He will have to take you to court and go through a long drawn out process that will cost him a lot of money and time.

The father has all the legal rights with reagrds to her baby even when he was practically nowhere while you are carrying her. In law, the father has all the rights to your baby in connection with succession, parental authority and others but you can claim support from him.

If he finds out and wants to take it to court and get a DNA test done, then yeah he has the rights; but only if he wants custody in someway or another. But then you can start getting child support.

If/when he shows up someday - he will have parental rights - he is the kids father...
Of course, he will also have the parental right of child support also.

I think by law he does. He is after all the father and the woman she will be will one day (maybe soon) will no doubt wonder about him. She'll want to meet him and learn about him. Why shouldn't she be allowed to do so?
