i just got acrylic nails today for the first time, how long do they usually last for? do they pop off? or do you have to pry them off?

rarely do they pop off if they are done good, my friend martha who is a certified cosmotologist always leaves her fingers in finger nail polish remover for 5 minutes and then they come off, otherwise they should stay on

The oil in your natural nails will encourage the acrylic to lift around the cuticles after about ten days. Keep them up, every two weeks or three weeks should be fine, sometimes nails won't lift until three weeks.
It all depends upon how harsh you are wiht your nails. do you wash dishes? do lots of cleaning in your home? do you work with cleansers or use your nails to pick up stuff?

Generally about 2 weeks. It would hurt to try and pop them off and possibly damage your nails. You should soak them off with artificial nail remover it can be purchased at any drug store or wal-mart.

You need to soak them in acetone until they come off. If you try to tear them off you could rip your live nails right off the bed - very painful. They are not designed to come off.

Sometimes they will fall off. They will last for several weeks and maybe longer if you take care of them.
