what yr? how many miles? well its good bike, but 250. thats too small for now days. and is it 2 stroke? then dont buy it, twostroke bikes from that old era is just not worth it. reliable ya cuz its japanese bike, but look into more of 400cc size bikes for reliability. for dirt pourpose it might be good. is it a dirt bike? well go for it!

obviously cb450t doesnt even know what it is. "is it a 2 stroke?, is it a dirt bike?" i cant believe how many people answer who dont know anything about the subject. anyway, yes for a dirtbike that is a 4 stroke there are reliable as any other brand out there. yamaha has been making the 4 stroke race bikes the longest now. 4 strokes have low maintenance, but when things go or need changed they are high dollar, compared to the 2 strokes. and depending on you ability a 250 is a good bike. most people that have the 450's never rider them to there potential anyway. a lighter 250 can fly threw trails.

The Yamaha YZ series bikes have always been dependable, fast, and well handling. Yamaha is famous for having strong motors, and they can pull holeshots like a rocket. I think that you're going to be more than impressed with it. Good choice.

I have a CRF250R which I love but the YZF is probably more reliable. I personally prefer the 250F over the 450F myself. Excellent choice...have fun!!
