yes, you can get it if you like.

But just know this...No matter who your provider is, they all still have to go through your local phone company to get to you. In this case, Sprint is your local phone company and yahoo would be considered a re-seller.

A re-seller basically leases a bunch of lines from the local phone company at a bulk rate and re-sells these lines to you. The only difference is that once you get through the local company's network, you'll connect to the re-seller's network.

The answer is yes and did you know.

I had ATT phone service and the ATT dial up internet as DSL was not available in my area. I was also a Sprint customer. So you can do that And you can get your bill all in one too. What I did was to get it automatically debited out of my checking account.

Now what I did was get the Sprint PPC 6700, when my contract was up with Sprint. Reason was I could use the phone as a modem for my desktop. So I cancelled the phone line and internet serice from ATT. The Sprint modem was a way lot faster download and it only cost a couple of dollars more, than the combined ATT land line and dial up modem.

But I am single now, so really have no need of a landline. But cnet.com had an article showing how to use the phone bluetooth to access the internet thru your computer. I will check on this than just cancell the Sprint data plan, which is what I need to access the internet. Be aware to, that on one of the phone updats, that the bluetooth between computer and phone is disable for security issues. Most likely, cuz someone could access the internet for free instead of paying. I mean bluetooth is like 30 feet radius, if you look at it. Of course, someone is just lurking in the 30 feet zone, just waiting. Well have fun with this info.

unless the contract you have with sprint also includes internet, than you should have no problem getting yahoo dsl. your phone line and a dsl/cable line are two seperate lines that don't intefere with each other.

the only problem you might have is two different bills at the end of the month =P
