Other than the obvious campness in guys or butchness in girls..
My gay friend can just tell....and 90% of the time - he is right... how??
Or is that just pure fluke...
Because it must be embaressing to approach someone straight if you are gay...and likewise if you are straight...
My friend (girl) tried to hit on a gay guy the other day.
are there any like secret signs to watch out for? Lol

You have to see how much they look/follow others of their same sex. Or they a guy might have feminism most of the time, and to the girls vice versa.

i can usually spot a gay guy a mile away just because i think they are so freakin awesome. plus ive been to a gay bar. i finally got to see a drag queen!!! some were really pretty. lmao. any way the more u r around them and watch how they act and talk the easier it will be to tell. to improve ur gaydar just watch. most gay guys act real femine, are EXTREMELY funny, more so then any 1 else, and have a certain accent even if they r from the same place u are. they also have a tendency to be snippy, in other words they use their hands and move their heads when they talk. just watch and ull see. also watch how they dance. gay guys are so much fun!!

i dont know! im usually 95% right... with guys. i cant tell with girls. its REALLY HARD with girls.... cause theyre all lesbians... so freakin affectionate toward each other..
anyway, how do i know? usually they just have a look. theres just something about them. its usually in the face. definitely in the face.
i guess the only way to improve gaydar is to hang out with A BUNCH of homos. maybe a club? observe many homosexuals. try movies, try to avoid stereotypical gay characters. try for real gay actors. watch queer as folk, noah's ark.
i guess thats all the advise i can offer. maybe also watch "gay, straight, or taken!" i think its on lifetime. of 4 episodes, i found all the gay guys, except for one............. so, 75% of the time, not 95.

I just generalize. If a guy is outwardly sexual towards girls, I usually assume that he's still hiding in the closet.
But I have the same problem as you. It's still hard to tell if a guy is gay or just metro

it is embarrassing and truthfully I've got it wrong a couple of times but luckily did not get my *** kicked. Most of the time, gay men can tell if the guy is or isnt simply b/c he's gay already so he may link their actions to his.

I dont know any Girls who have it that are gay and i dont have gaydar either...its only the guys

WHO CARES?
I don't want to be rude, but identifying who is gay is only important if you want to date or marry them. There is no sure-fire sign that someone is gay, since most gays are, not surprisingly, "straight-acting." That's because they view being gay as only one part of their personality, and don't care to flaunt it. The flamers flaunt their gayness to liberate themselves from a secercy that's forced onto them.
To each his own, and it's no one's business unless they want to date or marry a person.

extended eye contact...sizing up your body...some people find these very easy to pick up on.
