the first day of my last period was feb 1st and my next period was to be on march 1st, and i started bleeding this morning. normaly everytime i am getting my period, i get cramps 2 days before i get my period, and when my period starts its very light in color to begin with and then at the end it turns darker in color. this morning i didn't feel any cramps, and there was a very dark brownish spoting, similer to discharge. and i am now bleeding somewhat normal flow but still very dark. is it possible that this can be implantion bleeding or just an early period?

You do not say how old you are. If you are a teenager, then it is not unusual for your periods to be irregular. If you are into sports, this also can affect your periods and their timing. Stress can affect them. Of course, pregnancy can, too.

However, usually any bleeding associated with a pregnancy is very spotty (the body doesn't want to get rid of the blood at this time). Spotting is not steady or normal flow.

If you are concerned about pregnancy because you have been sexually active recently (no protection?), then a simple EPT test will either put your mind at ease (not pregnant) or stop your guessing. An early answer is imperative so you can stop doing anything that you might be doing that could harm the fetus. The first 3 months of gestation are the most crucial and vulnerable to the fetus.

Good luck.

You might be early. It happens sometimes because of stress, change in habits, normal bodily functions. If you are still concerned take a test when your period is due, but 5 days early is not unheard of.

implantation bleeding is usually just a spot of blood, not a flow.
