My miscarriage was last Jan. 18, no DC at all because I'm only 6wks pregnant. The bleeding took almost 3 wks,to stop, I guess. Afterwhich my husband and I had sex, no means of birth control, don't remember the exact date , first week of FEb, I guess. And just 3 days ago I don't know if that is a menstruation but it was colored brown and it stopped after two days. And the problem is that just a few hours ago I feel nauseated and some other symptoms which I experienced when I was pregnant. Are there any possibilities that I am pregnant and what is that brown thing if I am? I am so confused right now. I haven't used pregnancy test yet. Hope someone with the same experience or with knowledge about this would enlighten me. Thanks

First of all, Sorry for ur loss. I miscarried on Jan. 24th and I was 8 weeks pregnant, so I know a little bit of what u are going through. My Dr told me NOT to have unprotected sex until I had my first cycle then I was free to start trying again. You are very fertile right after a miscarriage so it is very possible. The brown blood could be old blood and u could be about to start menstruating or it could be implantation bleeding. U can take a home test Your hormone levels should be back to normal now. But if u do get a positive result go to the Dr to follow up just in case and be sure to tell them u miscarried in Jan.

Oh BTW, I didn't have a D&C either.

I got pregnant again just 2 weeks after my m/c. Unfortunately we lost that little one too :( It is possible to get pregnant that quickly. Just remember that there is a chance that you may lose the next one too if it's too soon. The brown discharge could be implantation bleeding. I would suggest getting blood draws done to check your hormone levels and also your progesterone levels. If your hcg levels go up, then you are pregnant. You may want to pick up a tub of progesterone cream from your local drug store and use that if your progesterone levels seem low. I hope that if you are pregnant that this one stays and you have a happy, healthy pregnancy and baby.

It is possible. I had a m/c mid July of '06 and conceived at the beginning of August. I'm now 30 weeks pregnant. Did your doctors check your hcg levels to make sure they went down to 0? The brown could be old blood. I would take a test to make sure. Good luck!
