Well, maybe u shld do some homework 1st like understanding yr friends better before showing anything to them yet. It could be that stuff u interested may not be their cup of tea. Or it could be that they r not welcoming u as part of their community. This could happen to anyone not only u so next time u wanna show something make sure u hv the right person with the same interest to appreciate yr stuff so u won't get embarass again.

Kudos on being yourself in front of people even though they make fun of you. It takes alot of courage to show individuality in today's society. Don't listen to what other people have to say. If you like something, don't give it up because someone else thinks it silly. That's what makes you who you are. If everyone liked the same stuff and did exactly the same things, this world would be a really boring place. Keep being yourself!

Don't sacrifice yourself for acceptance. You'll find people that appreciate you. You won't find an honest person in high school. Not truly. Most are happy to be a stereotype, categorized and accepted for something they choose to "represent."
Choose now to find the person within you that you want to be...and then don't let anyone take that person from you.
High school isn't forever and you will be quite satisfied with yourself for never compromising your individuality now, years from this time.
Carry yourself with dignity. You are a unique being. What you love defines you. Don't let anyone take what you love away or drag it through the dirt of their insecurity. Don't let them take you away from yourself just to leave you with nothing where the real "you" once was. Be strong. Be kind. And don't take crap off of any of them. They have IQs equal to their shoe size and you needn't spare excess thought on their stupid comments.

"My doom and my strength is to be solitary." - Emerson.

When they make fun of you, snap back with a smart comment! Here are some things you could say...

"Oh, I'm so sorry! I'll change my interests just to make you happy, because I really value your opinion!"

"Does this face look like it really cares?"

"Wow. The way you insulted me was so lame I couldn't hold in my laughter!"

"Unlike you, I actually have some kind of talent."

People will know not to mess with you. You can make these comments harsher if the people are really mean, or not as harsh if they tease you lightly. Stay true to yourself! Good luck with the mean girls (and immature guys :P)

:)

kids at school are very cruel of anyone going their own way. Just keep going your own way. Maybe don't be so outgoing of your choices until you make some close friends who are real friends not just "clicques" and love you for being yourself. Hang in there. I am sure yur are a beautiful person.Stay away from drugs and sex and respect yourself. You will do fine. I'm here to talk if yiou need . marileeworley1956@yahoo.com
