You can grow just about anything in Jackson. Plant things you love. Try parkseeds.com, waysidegarden.com, burpeeseeds.com -- there are many on line.

You need to get some seed/plant catalogues. They have pictures of the flowers and shrubs so you can see what you like. They also will have a map of the US with hardiness zones. Jackson is either in zone 8 or 9. (the map I have at hand is very small).

The catalogues also tell you whether the plants needs sun or shade, rich soil or poor soil, wet or dry soil, etc.

for flowering shrubs try spirea they come in many colors there is anthony water,snowmound just to name a few and where you live these can be bought in pts and they are very cheap at the nurseries there thats where a lot of nurseries in tennessee get there plant
