There are so, so many things to do & see. Check out the link I have included. You can find a lot to do. When we were there in December, we did Disney, Universal, a couple of "dinner shows"-one was pirates and the other was Medieval Times- both lots of fun, but a little pricey.

There are also many arcade type areas to go. We were just riding around (because we had some time to kill before the Pirates dinner) and we went to this place that had go-kart rides. It was a blast and was VERY reasonably priced.

Have fun!

If you want easy access to Disney and Universal then stay near International Drive, but you will not see the REAL Florida! If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of tourist-ville, then consider staying in a hotel away from that area, maybe in Kissimmee or downtown Orlando.

We have EVERY possible hotel chain in town. Just pick your favorite and go online.

If you want to see things that are not so Disney-ish, consider going to Winter Park for a day of shopping. Your 2-year old can run (toddle?) in the big park. You all can have a relaxing day window shopping and a nice bite to eat. Take the scenic boat tour of all the upscale (rich) homes!

To to downtown Orlando and rent a swan boat at Lake Eola, then walk a few blocks east and have a nice lunch at Dexters.

If you're not afraid of the water, then go to Wekiva State Park and rent a canoe and do some paddling. Stay in Cocoa Beach (it's only an hour drive to Disney, a little over that for Universal), but you could be right on the beach! If you stay in town, the take a ride to Daytona Beach, hang out, get your feet wet.

Blue Springs is another great state park, it's about an hour drive out of Orlando, you can see the Manatees! Very cool!

Mt. Dora, a sleepy town about 45 minutes NE of town. Antiques, cool shops, another nice lake-front park!

I always hate that people come to my town, and they only view they have is of International Drive, Disney and Universal! We live a beautiful state!

Good for hotels: http://www.orlando-florida.net/hotels/ . After the first search, you can refine your search by amenities, location, proximity to attractions etc. Good prices as well.

Good for other attractions info: http://www.orlando-florida.net/attractions/
