I have a friend, she is a girl, and she has been acting strange. She made some new friends a couple weeks ago, and has been hanging out with them more and more. She has started dressing like them and not even talking to me or her other friends. A couple days ago she wore some really really short pants and a tank top. That's against dress code at our school. I'm kinda worried a bout her, and so are my other friends. What should we do? If there is nothing, than why is she doing this?

something is definitely wrong. it is not right for her to just ditch you without a good reason. and if she is doing things against the school rules, her friends may be a bad influence. do you know anything about them. if they aren't good people, that's a warning sign. you should talk to your friend and tell her how you feel. If it doesn't work and she denies it, but she doesn't break school rules anymore, you may want to just let her be for a while, and see if it improves. But if she DOES keep breaking school rules, or starts getting into trouble even outside of school, like drugs or alchohol, you need to talk with an adult. these friends might not be a good influence. when you talk to her be sure to ask why she is ignoring you and that you are worried about her breaking rules. don't get mad at her because it will just upset her. be calm and kind about it. good luck!

I think she might just be looking for another friend. I don't mean to offend you. But see, I also have a friend, but I've known by the timw that she wasn't going with us anymore that she was actually a social climber. Well, harsh word isn't it. She probably was bored with us. But that was a really painful thing she had done. ANd I can never really look at her in the eye cause I've realized she wasn't a real true friend. She just befriended us becoz she know no one in our class at first.

Ask her to hang out with her, that you really miss her.
Don't bother mentioning her clothes or her new friends or she'll shy away...when you get the chance tell her that you care for her not matter what!!!

This si called being a teenager, i did the same thing, it is really sad when i look back at it now. Maybe you should have a one on one with her, have her come to your house a just talk.

there is a time in life where you have to grow up and meet new people. you will often times grow apart from your old friends. you too will find your friends that will stick with you.
i never in my life heard of 'really really short pants' and i can't see why it would be against any dress code.
but i lost a lot of friends. you just pretty much have to talk to them if you care about them. i tried to talk to my friend about it but i dunno. we just moved on.

She wants to be popular. Just leave her alone until she realizes who her real friends are. If she never does, then it's her loss. She'll live out her schoolyears in insecurity and loneliness.

It is just a phase she wants to fit in so she trys to be like then .Just find a way to show her she is better off with you just dont hurt her feelings.

Well, I guess you can't control your friends, so you have to let her go. Let her make her own mistakes, let her experience stupid behavior, otherwise she'll neva learn.
