When you are pregnant your cervix doesn't feel any different than usual until you are about 3-4 months. Then all you feel is weight/heavier. Before your period you sometimes feel a sharp pain in the lower area. Most people have one side that is more sensitive than the other. If you have mucus(thick fluid) during your pregnancy you need to see a Doctor this could be an infection. The day you start your period it usually starts out pinkish/yellow, then goes to the normal period. If you are really concerned about this you may want to speak with your Doctor!

Usually before your period your cervix is low dry and firm. It kind of feels like touching the tip of your nose. Your cervix doesn't change that much during early pregnancy but a couple months into pregnancy your cervix will usually be really high and closed. Usually the cervical mucus before your period, dries up. And yes cervical mucus/discharge usually increases during pregnancy.
