If the bank automatically closes a checking account due to a large over draft over $200.00, and non activity, will they allow customers to re open the same account once they pay the overdraft? If the account is not able to be re opened, do they allow to open a fresh account? or once this happens, are people banned from ever opening another account at Commerce?

Yes. Banks *can* reopen an account, but policies vary from institution to institution. They would be incentivized to open your account because they can recover the $200 rather than get nothing. You would win because you would settle the account. While you will still have a major ding on your account, a late payment is much, much better than a default on an overdraft.

Do your best to clear this up.
