sounds like you want it out. dont let the prego blues make you do things you shouldnt....like walking! Your nurse prac should have stopped labor, why are you still at home? babies need to be 40 weeks, period! every day they are early is one day less that they have to prepare for this world. lots of effects to early delivery, long term effects that you wont see right away. do some research, and call a real doctor, the nurse practitioner should have already done that. how did she know how far you were dialated? you must have gone into the office. sounds like youre using a free clinic. if so, go to the hospital yourself.

Not all babies make it to 40 weeks. That "magic number" is just an average and not the norm. Try to relax as best you can. Drink lots of water since dehydration can cause contractions. Make sure to eat good foods to keep your energy up. You could be having what is called "prodromal labor". It could last for a few days or a few weeks. Most of the time it's caused by the baby not being in a real good position and the baby is trying to work itself into a good position for birth. Can you get to a chiropractor? Find one that is experienced with pregnant women and knows the Websters Technique. Your water will break when it needs to and your baby will come when it needs to. Take care of yourself and you'll be holding that sweet little one soon!

At 36 weeks you are nearly term, I'd say you have another week on you just from my personal experiences. Try to rest up!!! How far apart are these contractions, I was dialated 2 cm with contractions every ten minutes for a week.

I don't know. I was at four cm for a week with all three of mine before I gave birth. But just trust yourself, if you have pain than I would check into it.

It's hard to say.

My water broke after I had been 3cm and 100% for two full weeks.
