He hit 6 homeruns last year so he could possibly hit 6-8.

He had 16 wins, but with the better offense the cubs have he could easily reach 18.

i hope the first answerer was joking...

i would say more than 6 but two things prevent me from saying that-

1. Teams know now not to serve him up fastballs down the middle- they will begin to prepare for him just like any other hitter

2. He has been lucky compared to other Cubs pitchers. I know he has had a few injuries but I fear that the same bug that bites Wood (fell out of a whirlpool!!!!) and Prior will get Zambrano this year.

I'm going with 4.

I see 4 HRs and 15 wins by Carlos Zambrano. I would predict more if we weren't talking about the Cubs here. With all the money they spent in the offseason, I don't think they made themselves that much better. Zambrano is the only pitcher who is stud enough to be counted on to win games every time he takes the bump.

Carlos Zambrano will mash 33 home runs this year. He will bat cleanup in all his starts. In Interleague games the Cubs will put him in as DH.
Carlos Zambrano will also have 33 wins. His ERA will be a paltry 1.50 and he will strike out 12 batters a game and save one child from death per day.
Carlos Zambrano will also discover a cure for cancer, while playing Guitar Hero non-stop without getting carpal tunnel syndrome.
Carlos Zambrano will carry a sack of venison from a hunting trip with teammates up the stairs of his apartment and not fall down and injure himself.
Carlos Zambrano will grow an afro so large that he will have to wear a chin strap to keep his hat on.
Carlos Zambrano will teach Kerry Wood and Mark Prior how not to get injured, thus achieving what was thought to be impossible.
Carlos Zambrano will also surf the internet roughly 15 hours a day, read this post, and be inspired to achieve all these things, especially this one.

If he stays healthy, which he usually does, he will have 32 starts and probably have a decision in 24-26 of them so i will guess about 19 wins with the offense. he will get about 3 times at bat a game so that will give him about 96, and with his power guess about 5, so Im going with 24

About 15-20 wins, and somewhere around 5 homers.

I'm hoping Big Z can get 20 wins, he has the stuff to, he just needs to keep his temper and feelings under control. When he loses his cool, he loses control, and teams know that and jump all over him.

I see him with less home runs this year, maybe 3

I say he wins 20 this year with that offense behind him, which is about 600,000+ per win! Man, he cashed in! He is great and I would love to have him on my team. Homers are harder to predict, I'll go with 3.

If he has his head in the game since he's squawking about his contract right now, I think he'll be good for 18 - 22 wins with Soriano / Lee / Ramirez to support him this year.

with that offense, 21 wins, 5 homeruns

baring injuries

I think Big Z has a good shot to hit 8-10 this year. He'll have Alfonso batting behind him, so you can't pitch around him to get to Jaun Pierre.
