I live in London Housing. How do I get the head guys to understand that there is a big drug problem here?

Too many parents are either drunk or on drugs all the time. Thier kids destroy things and have no respect for other adults. You have to write to them however it seems to take forever for things to get done. How can this system be made better? Should the Mayor of London visit my area? Please let me know what you think. Thank you.

Write, e-mail the housing authorities. Go to Community Meetings and bring this issue to the attention of all there. Talk to neighbors and get them to talk tpo their neighbors and form Concerned Citizen Committy(ies) in your Neighborhood and meet-if no public dwelling available then take turns meeting in your homes,discuss how to address-solve this very serious problem. Even if only a few can be enticed takes only a few and band together-can also print fliers and distribute through out the neighborhood informing and inviting to neighborhood meetings. Get to know your local police-get to know and befriend the ones that come into your neighborhood and discuss the problem(s)get their input(this is also a serious problem for the police) and they may offer good ideas in how to address,solve and may even be useful in starting neighborhood,community recreation center /Activities for the youth in the community for its they that can still be saved. Enlist also the help of Neighborhood Churches esp with the Youth for they especially should be involved. Often drugs go down when youth centers are established.Enlist neighbors in adopting a No Tolerance Policy /if any drug activity is observed call the police. The same should apply to Vandalism and often kids destroy for have nothing else to do. Start Neighborhood Clean-up Committees and gear that it includes children esp teens. If you can get Positive Police and Community Leaders Involvement then that is half the battel-the other is a United Front of people in the neighborhood being fed up and willing to take action. Be sure to include polices esp informing-start Neighborhood Watch programs-and usually the police is eager and willing to help organize for has been shown to be a effective tool in decreasing crime----put up signs indicating a Neighborhood Watch Neighborhood and if torn down put up again etc.it means the people who belong and involved keep a watchful and keen eye out for their and neighbors property etc and if anyhing occurs that shouldn't police called and they go around neighborhood informing-in my neihborhood if certain crimes being committed either phone or drive door to door informing like when schoolkids were checking for open doors andthen entering and robbing.Once they find that people will call police and that people are vigilant not so brave or brazen about it.
