Although I am rooting for Hillary, and would vote for her, I fear that Americans are still too gender biased to vote for a female president. That, in itself, frightens me, as it is 2007, and there is still too much prejudice. I read a great deal, and talk to many people, and there is still an aversion to that particular change. I hope that I am wrong; I really do.

Shameful yet certainty is i think of usa could like a woman president over a Black guy sitting in the President's seat. I made this remark approximately 5 years in the previous I knew something approximately Obama or Hilary working. it can be a "huge" journey if the two a woman or Black guy have been elected. I in simple terms check out background, women persons quite had a Civil Rights pass that quite pushed for the rights of ladies persons in the previous the Black Civil Rights replaced into effective. Blacks did not see a huge replace till the Civil Rights pass in 1965 while Martin Luther King Jr. recommended for us. i don't while usa would be waiting, I in simple terms think of a woman taking the presidency in the previous a Black guy, no remember how clever the guy could be.

Well I believe I heard somewhere that women outnumber the men in the US, and presuming they are all legal and of voting age, then yes, I could presume that a woman could be elected President. I think it's time for a change. And not to sound too feminist, I think that this country needs a "mother" in the White House - someone to do the housecleaning (sweeping illegals back where they came from, "vacuuming" drugs off the streets, giving criminals a good swift kick in the rear, etc).
I'm not saying Hillary would provide all these things, but she has MY vote, and my husband's too.

If Hilary Clinton is elected, she will be a 'woman' president, not an actual president. This is because America is so wrapped up on not being racist/sexist, they end up discriminating people. That's why Clinton and Obama will never be president. And people should choose presidents for leading ability, not because they feel guilty for not electing a woman or a black person.

Yes, the nation is quite ready for a woman or a person of color. In fact, the nation is desperate for a change from the tired old rich white guys who see the presidency as just another trophy for their collection.

I think the question is: Is America ready for a NON-white male Anglo Saxon Protestant as president?
After all, of all our presidents, only one, John Kennedy, as a Roman Catholic, did not fit the above description.

Edit:
Are we ready for a first man or
are we ready for a man first lady?
We are not ready because we don't have the semantics worked out.
