According to some comics Lucifer a b list at best villian, but it might be an alternate time/ space issus but i remember reading that Prof. X put himself in the wheelchair to achieve a higher level of his powers (i.e. if you shut down part of your body the other areas evolve to a higher preception Like Daredevil if you will loses his sight but other senses become hightened)

I think it was his step brother, Cain Marko aka Juggernaught.
I don't know why but I vaguely remember reading it in one of the Uncanny X-Men titles many moons ago.

He was injured by like a tree falling on him or something like that. I believe it was an alien by the name of Lucifer.

go way back to X-men #9 (guest starring the AVENGERS) and it turns out to be a minor villian going by the name of Lucifer.----not the devil though

it was doctor von crossman in 1937 in munich. some people think it was magneto... but that would be stupid cause magneto don't do jack for nobody.
