When it's all said and done, people will historically believe Adrian Peterson was the best player in the draft, though he will likely go at #4 to the Browns because picks 1-3 don't need a RB. The Raiders NEED to go with QB, so JaMarcus Russell or Brady Quinn will go #1 even though they are arguably not as good as Calvin Johnson or Adrian "AD" Peterson.
Watch out for AD in the combine this Sunday. He is going to explode and become everybody's #1. He has gotten his 40 down to under 4.3 now and is already the strongest player on the whole Sooners team.

Calvin Johnson of Georgia Tech should be the number one draft choice. He has great hands, runs a 4.4 or better 40, is 6'5" weighs 235 lbs, runs great routes, is an intelligent player and very unselfish. He has a lot of talent and in my opinion the best available player in the NFL draft.

calvin johnson should go number 1, but he won't. he is by far the best prospect this year, he's 6'5" 235, and runs sub 4.4. there is no way to defend against a guy like that without leaving the rest of the field wide open. the raiders will take a qb though, and i think he will fall to the bucs, just because the next few teams have needs that they absolutely HAVE to fill. he'll be a great fit there, and help open up the field for cadillac and the other receivers

Brady Quinn is horrible, so he's out. Raiders need a QB, So Russell should be going first. He benefits his team most.
But you never know if there could be a last second trade and they could end up not having the Raiders draft first.. But as of now, Russell for #1.

Calvin Johnson should be the number 1 overall selection in this year's draft, based on talent alone. He probably won't be simply due to team's needs.

Brady Quinn because he's just like a Roethlisberger who was a darkhorse that nobody saw doing well but I mean, look at big ben...he ended up in the super bowl. I think they take their chances at Brady...not Tom but Brady Quinn and take a chance...I mean, the Raiders have hit the lowest of lows....basically.....i mean, they're no Cleveland Browns but still tho...they're up there .... or shall i say...down there....lol

SHOULD OR WILL? Those are two different questions.....
Should: Calvin Johnson. Randy Moss like size and skills, with Marvin Harrison work ethic.
Will: J Russell. What Al Davis wants, Al Davis gets.

Whatever team ends up with making the number one pick SHOULD pick the player that will benefit their team the most.
Even if the team trades the player after the fact.
