I am digging your theory. I'll contact my bank and let them know I will only be paying for the hours I am there.

I'll let you know how I go...

Very astute observation. I never would have thought of that.

I have long thought that there needed to be some sort of regulationson what landlords and rental agencies are allowed to charge for rent, based on size, location, and income of renter.

Yes, I think that should be included. I work 16 hours on, 10 off. I basically sleep at my place, and shower. I can't remember the last time I used the kitchen. I would be better off renting a climate controlled storage unit and just showering at work.

it's a little hard to understand your question. If you really want to be homeless, live out of a shopping cart, be my guest. In the long run , it is cheaper to buy a house , than to rent. If you want to rent, you are probably paying someones mortgage, and that person is probably putting a little in their pocket every month. On the other hand , if you are a lousy tenant , it was a bad idea for your landlord to let you rent the place in the first place, and the landlord will loose in the long run if they can't get you out , before you tear the house down.

Rent out your house to someone who is always working the opposite schedule from yours. If you are out of the House@ 7:00 am to 7:00pm, They are out from 6:59 pm to 6:59 am. Then you wouldn't be paying for time that you aren't using it.

Unless it's a timeshare, you are the only one who gets to live there, regardless of how much time you spend there, so you have to pay the full price of the house.

Who's living there when you aren't? so if you don't pay for 24/7 - then someone else should be able to live there for the balance and share your home. Silly concept, you gotta pay for it all or live under the stars.
