it all depends on the woman, and what she is willing to put up with. but personally i would not put up with a cheating spouse, it ruins the trust u once had, makes one see the whole marriage differently. as when u marry someone u expect loyalty and expect to be their one and only, i believe if u find out your not that to protect your heart and your self worth, u have to leave the marriage, even if u have to go against your own heart to do it. as i would much Rather end it and be hurt that one time than go through years of suffering and pain because of a disloyal spouse who did not love me. most people would agree, that if he cheats on u that he doesn't love u anyway.so why would one want to invest any more time or love on a person like that.

my husband of 22 years was caught cheating. 7month on line relationship which he said he spent 3 days in las vegas with her and that she is his soul mate. After a very angry confrontation with me I told him to move out. We have been together since I was 18 and we have 2 girls 12 and 15. I am devastated and heartbroken I thought we would grow old together. we were the couple everyone looked at and thought that we were the "golden couple". I don't deal with cheating it is not expected and or tolerated. I am now alone and filled with anger sadness and despair. but even with these feelings I would not let him back into my life.

In the US it isn't as accepted for a man, but it is also not as frowned upon for women. How to cope with it, I don't think there is a single answer that works for everyone, it has to be only for you and your relationship. Regardless of how you do it you have to address the root cause of the cheating or if that is too much for your relationship to take then to call it off.

I'm not sure what country you are from, but in the US, cheating is sort of frowned upon and often the cause of divorce honey. Not all women deal with this, and for those that do, they all deal with it in their own way. If you never imagined yourself being one of them, then don't settle for someone who cheats on you.

We move on and find better men out there. Men who will treat us with respect and be a man....I know...they are hard to find! Even though, when you do find a decent guy, it is really hard to gain trust with any guy after being hurt before.
