depends on what kind. classical musicians can teach and their rate is by the hour. amateurs and professionals can also be invited to sing or perform in events. now this depends on how you talk it out with the host. i charge per song and others charge per set(a set may be around 8-10 songs or as few as 5-6) and others per night of performance.

of course we;ll get paid after finishing the album. more if sales went high.

Musicians can be either amateur or professional. Professional musicians are paid musicians who use performing as their main source of income. They may work freelance, enter into a contract with a studio or record label, be employed by a professional ensemble such as a symphony orchestra, or be employed by an institution such as a church or business (such as a bar). An amateur musician is someone for whom music is a pastime and not their main occupation.

They are usually signed to contracts. They are paid a certain amount up front and then more based on album sales, merchandising and tours.

For every CD that is sold, they get a certain pecent. And the percent makes it like 3.50 for every cd, But think about how many ppl buy the cd. thats how they get paid
