No. Homosexuality is caused by the genetics in your family, and your brain chemistry. Just mere scientific facts, if you need more info, you might want to go to a search engine and look at some research done.

Sorry kiddo but you're a bit behind the times; North American Psychologists took homosexuality off of the list of mental illnesses back in..... I think that it was in 1978? I could be wrong but it has been a long time :).
This way we only have religious bible thumpers, neo-evolutionists and just hate-filled individuals to deal with telling us that we're destroying the world etc etc.
I can't imagine living in a time when simply having sex with a consensual partner could get you arrested. The feeling of being hunted down for simply showing love is sickening to me.
Short answer -- nope :), we're not mentally disordered simply for loving/wanting to have sex with a partner of the same sex.

No, but posting this sort of question, worded the way it is and not being aware that you're only baiting the bashers....now that might be considered a form of mental illness.

I've always defined an illness as something which hinders you and causes you difficulty in life.
Homosexuality, as far as I know, does neither (the fact that a society may make life a living hell for being homosexual is separate). People who are gay or lesbian live perfectly normal, happy lives. Their sexual orientation doesn't seem to impede them in any sort of way.
So, no, I don't think it is, and that's why I don't classify it as a mental illness.

Oh no, actually straights are. They molest more, have spread more diseases, started wars, started hate religions, "set it up for all people to get married, have children, celebrate wedding aniversarys,its a sick and boring life" I say(see john waters-Female Trouble)but sure they must procreate(accidentaly) so gays plan like god wanted and arrange for a child to raised like god wanted and love that child even if god gave them a choice to adopt, being this, marriage should only be given to gays too.
