Hello everyone, I figured this was the best section of the forum to post this question in so enjoy!

"There are nine men to every ten women at Big State University. There are 26,239 students at the university. How many women are there?"

Not enough. Most undergrad men need plenty more to make college worth attending.

This is a proration problem
9 + 10 = 19
26,239/19 = 1,381
10*1,381 = 13,810 women
9*1381 = 12,429 men
