You really are limited if you only have a bachelor's. You won't be unemployed forever, but you may not find the work you really want. This article tells you what you can do with a bachelor's in psychology, including human services, research, and advertising.
http://www.apa.org/ed/wanttobecome.html
Previous research indicates that only about 25% of psychology undergraduates end up working in a field closely related to psychology.

I have held 3 jobs with my bachelor's in psychology (Well, 4 if you count an internship before I finished my BS). My senior year of college, I worked as an intern and research assistant at Johns Hopkins, conducting behavioral research. I then worked as a counselor at an adolescent group home. After that group home went bankrupt, I moved and couldn't find work for 3 months and ended up doing temp work, doing inventory at a parts warehouse for a company that makes tire parts. Nothing motivates you to find work in your major like spending 8 hours a day counting ball bearings. I then worked 4 years in a mental health reintegration program with people diagnosed with serious mental illness (schizophrenia, bipolar).

well unfortunately (as I well know) not much... I'm from South Africa and here we do a three yr bach then 1 yr honours then 2 yr Masters and then you can become a psychologist that can practice... I have my honours and cannot get a psych job... I've been doing temp jobs over the last yr... admin, life skills training, recpetion, bottling herbal tinctures, data capturing etc allsorts. I need more experience and life experience, before I can do my masters, all I can say is that you have to have the end goal in mind... do you wanna go fully into the psych field, coz then you need to study further, but if you want to do something else but major in psych, then find another major such as HR, Business, Science, etc courses that would go well with psych and make you markateble in the business world. You can always volunteer to use the psych skills properly. But don't be discouraged, we are all being honest bout our experiences but don't give up on your ideas... I'm not, I just know its gonna take a bit longer to get there than most qualifications. GO FOR IT! good luck

Two choices that I know of.
1. Become a Life Coach, this is where you can coach peoples life to get them from point A to point B. Better said like this though to bridge the gap to their dreams. You can make anywhere from 50,000 - 200,000 a year doing this.

2. You could always sit around contemplating about being unemployed. lol

Based on my observations and experience, people with undergrad degrees in psych can get jobs as:
--Drummer in rock band
--Cook in vegetarian restaurant
--Bass player in rock band
--Restaurant pastry chef
You wouldn't qualify for many jobs as a social worker with a bachelor's in psych.
My life experience also leads me to tell you, that even though you might be young and idealistic, you will be happier in the long run if you do think about things like employability and income and working conditions, as you consider what to study in college.

Nothing, i know, it sucks, but nothing in psych. The mind is a very complicated and sensitive thing, you need extra training to deal with it. Master's atleast. just like doctors need extra training to deal with the body. youll be able to get a better job that a person who did not go to college at all, like in an office or something. But nothing to do with Psych.

A BS in Psychology would be fine for sales, HR, management, insurance underwriting, politics, and numerous other occupations.
It would also serve to get you into grad school for teaching, clergy, med school, law and many other professions.

You could be a teacher, but depending upon the degree you get you could be over or underqualified for certain school systems. But, you'd probably be able to teach at a school somewhere.
