We got my brother (he's 13) a kitten and I (I'm a 14 year old girl) had many name ideas that I knew he wouldn't go for, so I made up a list of names he WOULD like. He has been gone since Sunday and this little kitten (a boy kitten) was a surprise. Today he came home and my parents said it was totally up to him because his cat just died. Some of the names were baseball oriented, most of them I didn't love but I thought he would like. So I tell him my list (which everyone else seemed to like) and he thinks about it for a second, says they're okay and then chooses (drumroll if you please)

SEVEN! Seven! Yup, like the number 7!! I was like in tears, this sweet little kitten doesn't deserve such a horrible name. It apparently is from some tv show or something but still. Isn't that the WORST name EVER!!

Actually, that doesn't sound like a bad name.
My son went to school with a classmate named "Seven". I believe it is a Scandanavian name and the accent is on the second syllable. Actually I don't mind the name, it is very distinctive. And seven is supposed to be a lucky number. At least he didn't name it thirteen.
Speaking of stupid names, when I was a kid, I named my cat "Gray Cat." :-)

Of course it's not. I am sure being the mother of two teenage boys, that most young brothers could have come up with a name much worse than seven. Vomit, Spittle, or Puk! are just I few I thought my boys may like to name something. So I think if I were you I would just be grateful that the cat is named seven and I am sure the cat really won't care what it is called.

No. It's not the worst cat name ever. My kids have a cat named Pig. She was born with scoliosis (curved spine), and besides being short and round, she has a curly tail... just like a pig.
I'm sure Pig would be jealous of a name as good as Seven.

Seven, as in Seven of Nine, from a Star Trek spinoff. Jeri Ryan looked hot in a tight fitting Spandex body suit. I had a cat named Speed Bump, and another named Alpo. Seven is pretty tame.

Seven might also represent the uniform number of a player he liked.
When Greg Luzinski was playing here in Philly, he had a dog that he named Oh-For in reference to not getting a hit in 4 at-bats.
Try to allow your brother his individuality. Try to image someone telling you the same thing about any of the names you suggested.
