I know they offer a engineering degree but can a math degree get you a engineering job?

I love math and im currently majoring in engineering ( because of the pay), but I want to take as much math as possible but would also like to work in the engineering field is that possible?

Yes!

Many applied mathematicians work in practical fields that are closely related to engineering.

For example, some math programs have concentrations in computational science, the application of numerical methods from mathematics, on a high performance computer, to problems in science and engineering.

Other applied mathematicians work in fluid mechanics, materials science, theoretical computer science or other industrial fields. Their titles and job descriptions may sometimes sound as if they are engineers, but the work they do might be more mathematically intensive.

If you are very interested in math I would suggest taking an applied mathematics degree that offers you a great deal of flexibility in electives (most do), so that you can also take advanced courses in the field of engineering in which you are most interested (popular options are electrical, mechanical and systems engineering).

Does the institution offer double majors? Most engineering majors just about have a math degree with the courses they are required to take.
