Research many other fundings he has reduced. The way he has reduced funding for many good programs is unforgivable.
All he cares about is pouring money into Iraq, and some into Afghanistan.

You are way off base with this. That was a 'hate' crime. And the person that did the shooting was a 'parent' who lived in the area.

You cannot read a part of a paragraph or story and know the complete context of the circumstances. I recall the issue and since it was an Amish school, which is supported by regular funding for these types of hate crimes, then it takes more than 4 months to investigate and make changes.

The Amish citizens are in a class by themselves and do not want to or care to be associated with the outside world unless something like this happens, then they want full protections. Well, when you disassociate with other Americans and the federal government because of religious belief, what would people expect the government to do for them? They are NOT government funded education systems.

Congress-folks need to satisfy their constituency otherwise they will not be re-elected.

Constituencies are GREEDY. Louisiana wants money and Louisiana doesn't care if it comes from Nebraska's need or Montana's need.

That's the way the game is played and that's the way legislative bills are written....to satisfy a local greed.

When the national government has only so much money to distribute, some states or some departments will have to be cut to satisfy the local greed of some states.

If Senator Jones is a powerful member of the Senate, his local greed comes first and his constituency gets the gravy.

I think this issue is tainted by the fact "W" would love nothing better than to stop violence in our schools but the piece of legislation that was brought before him was a pork- barrel spending spree without a clear-cut way to regulate and keep hands out of the till.
