im a chinese-filipino...and im not rich like henry sy or lucio tan. but here are the facts.
IN MY OWN OPINION, we dont "dislike" filipinos(pure filipinos for the matter)...it's just that, our fathers have had bad experiences with filipinos...but i must admit, SOME chinese people are wrong for generalizing filipinos and for treating them badly. i know some chinese who are like that....but i know a lot of chinese-filipinos who are very friendly and open to the filipinos. people are different, we have to understand that. there are people who generalize filipinos(esp the muslims), there's nothing we can do about that but understand their personality. sooner or later they will learn.
as for the chinese being conservative and all...it's part of our culture. that's why marriage between a chinese and a filipino is not often welcomed in the chinese culture. chinese culture and filipino culture are way way way different. so if one marries the other, there will be a lot of clashing of cultures and ideas. not to mention the language barrier. but if one's marriage is of pure love and understanding, it will work. so basically it depends, people are different.
i dont think it's true that "conservative" chinese(there are lots of liberated chinese in the phils. though)...think that filipinos are of bad influence. i think it's because they just dont like it if their children go out with pure filipinos because they are afraid that their children might marry one.(the reason why they are afraid/dislike intermarriage are explained above). but then again, it depends, like i said...people are different.
and hey, just want you to know that im VERY proud to be a chinese-filipino. God Bless!

i think of there should be something interior the upbringings of the two. i know maximum with chinese language descend have a code of honor regarding morality, many might want to have hassle-free existence than flow into corruption by way of fact family individuals and prolonged family individuals disown them. at an analogous time as many interior the filipino subculture, as long as one has the money, you are the respected one. and a great variety of filipinos forgive and ignore of previous grudges at an analogous time as the chinese language take it for existence. I heard that the worst concern for a chinese language is to lose honor/face at an analogous time as to a filipino , no training. yet those are standard regulations and not a lot substantiated. extraordinarily in this era, many are crooked, whether chinese language or filipino.

The rich Chinese marry other Chinese in their own society. They do not trust filipinos because they all have the same lame excuses for begging for money

That would be generalization. I have chinese friends who are rich but they are not like that and they should not be like that, for without us, filipinos, whom will they do business to? Do you think Henry Sy dislikes Filipinos that almost everyone of us do shopping at SM? HE must be silly if he does.

its not good and makes no sense to generalize all filipino men, we differ, all humans could choose whether they be conservative or not, i know a lot of filipino men who still beleive in virginity and who still plan on a good family, and i also know of chinese men who play around and toy with womens emotion because they have the means,
and i also know of filipino men who are very liberated, and chinese men who are conservative

Interesting. Will you count my friend out of that stereotype, please? He is a good man, he is rich, he is Chinese, and he loves all good people of all races.
