Ironically that is the same thing that killed that girl a few years back in Columbus Ohio during a Blue Jackets game.
Thanks to that incident we are now subjected to the nets on either end of the rinks.
Can you say "overreact"?

You don't run into a guy full speed with his frontside facing the boards. That is a poor regard for a player's safety and very liable to cause injury. Morris had a right to play the puck in this instance, and Kesler should have gone for a different check than the very obvious boarding call. If the same thing would have happened to wusscake diver Burrows you would have been singing a different tune, which proves you are a homer.

You claim to be a nursing assistant, and the doc's diagnosed you with a concussion and you plan on working 16 hours, I don't buy this story. Been hit in face X2, first time slap shot from point free ride to hospital 27 stitches out of work 4 days. Second time in neck went to work hurt like heck.

I think your fellow medical staff may agree, and you should probably know this, that if you get a concussion you should probably not be doing much of anything, let alone working as a nurse, for 24 hours. If you are going to "tough" it out, take some ibuprofen, do not fall asleep for more than a few hours at a time, and try not to hurt anybody.

If you have a concussion, you probably shouldn't be driving and working anyway, but just resting.
As for the neck pain, if the doctors are sure there's no injury, it's probably just sore muscles. Muscle relaxants like ibuprofin should be helping with the inflammation and stiffness in the muscle even if you can't feel the pain reducing much.

Just came from the doctor (no I'm not kidding) for this very thing. Got hit in the knee and it's swollen and very tender. He told me to keep it elevated and apply ice (no hot) and 400 mgs of Ibuprofen 4 times a day for 7 days. He has also requested x-rays but he believes it is only soft tissue that has been damaged.

You could pay attention and not get hit in the head/neck with a hockey puck.

Yeah, call in sick. You're a nurse, you should know not to mess around with spinal and head injuries with more stress. There's long term repercussions involved.
