I'm hoping that they will work with Rex Grossman, because he was doing good during the regular seson, but during the post-season he was horrible. Especially against the Saints, it looked as though he was choking every time he went to throw.

They are taking a tough hit by Rivera going to be the Chargers linebackers coach next season and babich taking up the reins as defensive coordinator. However, Babich has already been working on the Rivera weaknesses and plans on making a couple shifts in the secondary to improve their pass defense.

Grossman's second season should see a marked improvement in his play. Also, they will have a more solid game plan involving their RB by committee approach as well as Bernard Berrian becoming the lead WR on that team. Look for Mark Bradley to move into the slot position and Muhammad should work the middle of the field. The Bears should pick up a TE in the first round of the draft this year, thus giving them an additional option for both passing and improved rush blocking.

Since the NFC North is still not highly contested, look for the Bears to get a third division championship and make another solid playoff run. In fact, if their defense remains intact (Harris and Brown will return), they will actually be in an even better spot to go to the Super Bowl.

With this past season's experience under their helmets, there is no reason that they shouldn't make the playoffs again in the '07-'08 season.
If they have the championship game again at Soldier Field, they'll probably be back in the Super Bowl.
And all of you that keep dissin Rex, if the 2 INTs that were in the latter part of the Super Bowl had been receptions, the outcome may have be VERY DIFFERENT.
I was rooting for the Colts but the Bears and Rex Grossman gave them a run for the money.
The game was CLOSER than it seemed.

Rex Grossman should never have been a starter, and on any other team he would be a #2 QB. The Bears will pick up a QB from college in the upcoming draft, FOR SURE. Other than that, they need to pick up another LB to help Urlacher hold down the run Defense. If they can do this, they can be back in the Super Bowl again to lose to the Colts...again.

Hire a defensive coordinator since they don't have one anymore. They should also be doing everything in their power to negotiate a nice long-term deal for Lovie Smith or else he'll be out the door too!

I think they'll win the division and get to the 2nd round...no Super Bowl for the Bears next season.
