It started out as a vote getting agenda. What the leaders of the Republican Party failed to notice was how susceptible to brain washing these people actually are. They have become rabid about it.
what they all fail to realize is that every single one of them has a better chance of getting killed by a gang member in the U.S. than they ever do by a terrorist. Yet where is the war on gangs????

I agree with them that terrorism is the fight of our lives, and maybe the fight of this century. But where I differ is that I don't see us truly going after the terrorists. We're too busy policing a civil war that we helped to ignite. Where they get hysterical to me is when they carry on calling anyone who doesn't agree with the way Bush is handling terrorism a coward, or terrorist loving, or some other b.s. Where it gets sticky is that they don't want to ever admit that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. That's their story and they're sticking to it. The truth of what Bush has done doesn't matter a whole lot to them - they'd follow him off a cliff, just like lemmings. And just to be clear, it's only SOME Republicans, there's a great many of them who aren't willing to ignore the elephant in the room any longer.

Was it Republicans who bombed the WTC in 1993? Was it Republicans who bombed Kenya and Tanzania? Was it Republicans who bombed the Commuter trains in Madrid? Was it Republicans who bombed the buses and trains in London? Was it Republicans who flew planes into the WTC? Was it Republicans who dive bombed the Pentagon? Was it Republicans who flew United 93 into the ground?
The question you should have asked is this: How come Liberals think that pretending that Terrorism is not a threat is a solution to the problem?
Maybe you think that 9/11 didn't "create mass hysteria."
What is the number of innocent lives lost that you think would justify mass hysteria? 10,000? 100,000? 1,000,000? You give me the number and I will come back to you after it happens.
For me it was just under 3000, and it occurred on 9/11.

ynotfsu 10 answered your question best. Like the Daryl Worley song says "Have You Forgotten" tells the tale as the liberals have clearly forgotten or don't care about our country or the troops like they say they do. Islamic fascism isn't just going to go away as they hate the Christians and the Jews. Many liberals can relate to this as they hate (at least many of them) Christians and Jews as well. Our Commander in Chief so happens to be a Christian and that is the main reason he is constantly attacked by liberals and the Hollywood crowd. Terroism is very real my friend and happening all over the world and must be dealt with obviously something the liberals and the Democrats are very weak minded about.

Think about it, nothing has gone right for this administration since Bush took office. You need to hold on to your majority you need to keep people on your side and voting GOP.
Do you run on results? Well, that obviously won't work...you do two things:
1. You scare people to the point where they will only vote for you.
2. You demonize people from the other party so that smarter people not fooled by #1 vote for you also....

1. It helps carry forward their political ideology.
If the pseudo-War on Terror is being fought to fight terrorism, then you have to scare people about terrorism. Terrorism is a real threat to the United States, but fear is a powerful tool utilized by the Republicans. Fear is a weapon and the Republicans use it to their best advantage - if fear will get people to support the War in Iraq and get the Republicans elected in '08, then fear will be created.

It wins them votes.
Edit: it worked in 2004 among other dirty tricks that they used to return a coke snorting, alcoholic to office, keep the fear level up and say that repuglcians are tough on terror and people will vote for them. Mean while they go about making the rich, richer.

Because they understand the world much better than Democrats do. I don't know if you have heard but there is a group of people that think that if they kill as many Americans as possible they will go to heaven and be surrounded by virgins. They believe this so thou roughly that some will strap bombs to themselves and blow up people that do not agree with their views. If you are not scared you are either stupid or naive...take your pick.

Because they always need to have a boogeyman to keep blind Americans in fear. How else are they going to get you to smile as you're giving them your hard earned money? The democraps are equally as bad though; they like to use global warming as their boogeyman.
