I got a guitar amp and its killing me with only 15watts. Can I just replace the 8" lame speaker with an 8" awesome speaker for the amp? A lot of other amps with 50-100 watts are a lot more than I want to pay right now and just replacing the speaker would cost a lot less.

Not necessarily.

You would need to find an 8" HIGH EFFICIENCY speaker with the same ohm rating as yours and you might have a chance, but be aware that an excellent high efficiency speaker will cost as much as your whole amp... no, you can't buy a high efficiency speaker from Walmart or a car place, and not for $20 or $30. Good 8" speakers are difficult to find.

Don't buy a speaker with a different impedance (ohms) or you will stand a chance of blowing up the amp.

I have an amp with 15W rating that I have had for years and it is louder than most because it was well thought out when built. It cost me about $400 and I bought it for tone, not for volume.

Keep in mind that a lot of Marshall stacks only produce 50W or 100W.

Yes. 90% of what you hear is the responsibility of the cabinet (properly designed), not the ability of the driver to handle power....
