Before you draft, You place the players in your own order of importance in the draft since you won't take part in it live. When your turn comes up, your pick is automatically the next available player on your list. I've seen people win the league with an autodraft team. Here are some strategies: look at the entire list of players per position and notice the low ranked players who you think might breakout, rebound or be undervalued. consider these positions somewhat "taken" and focus on the higher ranked players who fill the other positions, in the earlier rounds of the draft. Check your league settings and see what stats count, and if there are alot of hitting stats like Walks, Total Bases, etc., then target the speedy guys with pop, like Reyes or Beltran. Make sure you get one or two solid closers like Wagner or BJ Ryan in there, since Saves stat is rare and good closers are hard to come by off waivers. If your league has Holds, don't worry about middle relief until after the draft and you can pick up or trade for a good middle relief guy. Lastly, make sure you log in as soon as you can and scour the guys who didn't get drafted and get your wiaver priorities in. Good luck!

The computer drafts the players for the participants. It drafts the best available player for your team based on last years statistics. You can usually change the rankings of the players prior to the autodraft to ensure you don't get dead, retired, injured players.

It just means that after you have ranked your players, the computer will draft for you when your turn comes up selecting the highest player available on your list for positions that you still have open.

You prerank your players and then your team will be automatically placed in a league if you aren't in one already. Then your team will be automatically drafted like a live draft as soon as there are enough people in your league. The results will be based on your rankings so put effort into your pre rankings.
