There is a book I have on my shelf that you may be able to find in a library or used on the net.(Amazon shows it) Plastics As An Art Form by Thelma R. Newman, Revised edition 1969, Chilton Book Company, that discusses all the varieties of plastics then available (which haven't changed much for craft work) and how they are being used in art construction.
