Democrats want war?

Now that the democrats are in control of congress, who thinks they are just going to wait for a democratic president so that they can reinstate the draft because they are secretly planing a war.

OK sounds like everyones late to the party. The plan was finalized in 2000 and is in its first throws. All the members that wrote the rebuilding Americas defenses are now in their second term of this administration. It will not end with Bush look for Guliani then Schwarzenegger to carry forth with the plan in the coming years.

What evidence do you have that democrats want war? Yes, a few democrat politicians have tried to pass a law reinstating the draft. However, their goal with that was to try to get some people in favor of the war to switch sides. If your son might be sent to fight then you may not support the war.

So far, of everything I have seen, the democrats want to get the forces out of Iraq as soon as possible.

1. Who says the Democrats are planning a secret war? In any case, many but not all Democrats are known to be against the War in Iraq. Why would they enter another war that causes a great budget deficit (like the one the U.S. has been having since Bush became president in 2000)?
2. Who would they fight against anyway?

I think they will re-shift focus to things that truly should matter to the American people like education and the economy.

You mean the draft that will be needed just to recover from this God awful mess the current resident has pooped all over?

The draft practically needs to be reinstated anyways. Don't you think it is unfair that all those soldiers are over there fighting, while you play on YA's? Wouldn't you like to see some equality amongst those serving?

Not just the diverse, down on the luck crowd, but even the middle to upper class sons, in uniform, defending the policies of the Decider?

i am really scared of the democrats. they are turing the country into a communism, slowly but surely. (like wanting to give away health insureance and stuff) and it is really there fault things got worse since the election. did you know, a president can only wage a war for 90 days without the consent of congress? the war has been going on for years, yet they blame bush- who is a good president- when it is up to them. and bush cant do much either now because they veto every single bill that he proposes. and if they create a draft, i WILL NOT go. those commies can kill me before i am foreced to be in a draft

Only on the War on Terror . Terrorism didn't bother the Clinton White House ..he looked the other way ..or attended a golf tournament when our military was standing by, ready to strike..but we had no leader to say "yes" or "no" ..
Democrats , when given the chance , are hell bent on dismantling our military . With Bill Clinton taking huge sums ..in the millions for speaking engagements -some in Communist countries - that should tell you that nobody with money is an enemy to today's democrats in office . While they carry on this farce of protecting the little guy , they sit on fat bank accounts , while they look at us & smile & raise everybody's taxes to help the little guy..while they help themselves .
