Ok, so i have a science fair coming up in march and this is my school's big project. they are mandatory and they can't just be simple projects. we have to include a model, a long report and a 3-D board. I am in the seventh grade, and i need to find a topic to do my science fair project on by March 1. I search the internet a thousand times every year, and i don't find anything that is worth it. I prefer anything that doesnt have to do with chemistry or physics.
Please help me!! thank you!

Perhaps you could do your presentation on the brains ability to "invent memory" as discussed in recent hypnosis regression cases. Provide evidence to support the idea that our own brain can fool ourselves by doing a few card tricks. Optical illusions are a big sell and easy to construct as a 3d model. Many are available as models in ,local hobby shops. Just another idea

Do it on DNA gene chips. It would be easy to build a model with wire and beads. They put millions of small strand parts on a chip, run a wash over it, and look for the parts that bond. For example then you could tell if a particular medicine might work on a particular person. I think they just had a big autism breakthru using these also.
Otherwise do a comparison of the three new gaming systems PS3, XBOX 360, and Nintendo WII. Engineering is basically science. Talk about how ones engineered for graphics, online gaming, fun, etc. Interview some tech at Best Buy too.

Hmm.. what about training a mouse in a maze? It shouldn't take that long to build a maze. Each time you drop a mouse in the same spot of a maze and you time it to see how quickly would it find the cheese at the end. Eventually the mouse would learn and time required is less & less. Make sure you record the time of each trial, and the starting point, ending point are the same. Only downside is what to do with the mouse at the end of the project, maybe you can work something out with a local pet shop.
