Yes, if I have a very intense dream about someone close to me, it can affect me for more than one morning. I had a dream once where my two year old son fell from somewhere high and died and that dream still affects me months later.

Depends.
1) Can you even remember the dream in the first place? If not, not usually.
2) How intense was it? The more intense the emotions felt, the more likely it will affect you.
3) Do you relate it to something in reality? If you do, that obviously your outlook will somehow be affected.
4) Lastly, how seriously do you take your dreams? Many people consider their dreams to be just dreams. Others find meaning, dissect and take it seriously and find an explanation to relate it to their current life.
My dreams are usually harmless or virtually non-existent so I just wake up feeling like I always do.
One word of caution: If it's a recurring dream that keeps coming back to you, pay attention. Find out why you have it and what it means. Recurring dreams usually deal with something significant.

for me yes. based on my experiences too. i have been dreaming of something that was so good the night before and carry that happiness during the morning. and people with nightmares get confused, moody early morning as well. but, i may say it depends on the person. maybe some people don't get affected too much when dreams and nightmares come their ways.

Yes,
landscape dream could only affect my moods a little in the morning and that day.
but,
the most effect is from dreaming a person, wether nightmare or beautiful dream. It could afffect me more that 3 days.
the result is from nightmare or beautiful dream toward that person resulting good affectional feeling toward my opposite sex. And the effect could be feel forever, diminished though.

Yes, I actually dissect my dreams and try to find meaning, which I almost always do. They say that your dreams hold the secrets to your reality and if you really pay attention to them that you can become to better understand parts of your life that have you perplexed. I have also had 4 really spiritual dreams that were not like any dream I have ever had - more vivid than reality and they held key messages as if God were speaking directly to me. These dreams happened at key times in my life when I needed the spiritual intervention and wow were they so amazing, vivid and beyond any words I could ever come up with to describe them. Pay attention to your dreams. They are telling you something...

I think so...I wake up in the morning with a sense of happiness even though I had a bad dream because my brain has been active....but like others have said you may have a bad opinion about someone that did something in your dream because thats the way you remember them doing it.....but isn't real....and just let yourself subside and relax and regroup for awhile

I think so. I suffer from night terrors, and there's a huge difference in my mood and disposition on days where I've had good dreams the night before vs. the night terror nights. When I've had a night terror, I feel a little depressed and anxiety-ridden the next day.

Not always, but they certainly can! I've had nightmares before where I wake up in the morning and I'm just jittery all morning. My mom will dream sometimes that my dad did something that made her angry, and then she wakes up mad at him but he doesn't know why!

Absolutely 100%, I find myself affected a lot by the dreams I had the night before - they can change how I see people who were inthe dreams and can change my mood absolutely.
