I thought V-E Day and V-J Day were the triumphs. May/7 and August/14.

It is triumphant in it brought people together. People from all walks of life, from the wealthy to the dirt poor, came together to help those in need. A man from Texas donated cows for beef, one donated the truck to transport it, one donated the grills to cook on and people volunteered to serve it to those who were hungry. In a way, the terrorists helped to bring us together, even for a short time.
