I just feel a huge, painful lump getting bigger and bigger on my chin...it's not coming to a head, and I haven't touched it-but is there anything I can do to get rid of it? I RARELY get these...so annoying!

As mentioned before it can be a cyst, a boil, or very likely it can be an ingrown hair. Females are not excluded from getting stray hairs on their chins (or other places).

I suggest that you soak it with a warm compress to see if you can't bring it to a head. If it is still inflamed in the morning, make an appointment with your doctor so that he can possibly lance it and pull out whatever has caused the infection.

I think the pimples you are describing are cystic pimples. Your best bet would be to visit a dermatologist if it's really urgent, otherwise, leave them alone. Picking at them will only make it more red, hurt more, and eventually, it will leave a scar. I used to use the mask that came with Proactiv; I'd dab it on the pimple and leave it there overnight to get rid of some of the redness. Trust me, it's happened to me before :(!

try popping it. Its most likely a whitehead forming under the skin. Ive had them before and i know there painful but i cant stand the feeling of it being there so i pop it. You can wait it out or go see a doctor if you think its something more than a pimple

Find a product called Boil Ease. You need to get it to the surface and most astrigents will do that, but Boil Ease will also numb the pain.

It's a cyst. Go to a dermatologist and they'll give you a shot for it. If not they take a long time to heal and can be painful. I hate those!

The only thing you can do is to go to a doctor. I had to do that several times. It really helps!
