well thats a good question. "we" care? i dont think so. this saying can mean a couple things. one is that jimmy opened (cracked) or drank corn booze and either he or the other person didnt care i guess because of the fact that his master died and why care or because he doesnt care because he is drunk. OR he is cracking corn (crushing it) and maybe its his dead masters corn and he will be using it but doesnt care cuz his master is now dead.

Given that crackin corn is a euphemism for the consumption of corn liquor, I stand for it. I personally crack as much corn as possible every time my massa goes away! But beware the fly!!!
