I have not found any reviews which indicate a problem with hum or noise. There is significant hum, particularly when NOT touching the stings or metal parts on the guitar itself.

Thought there may have been issues with the light duty cable or amp which came with the unit, but the hum still appears with a brand new cable and different amp.

Was told by the local music shop that there may be a bad ground inside the guitar itself.

Anyone have any other ideas/suggestions? Any idea of other diagnostics or how to solve?

Thanks!

Check the website below. Some good info about noises and what to do about it. Also how to modify your guitar for more sounds and how to avoid electrocution.

Hmmm,,,, avoid death,, that could be handy.
