This question is seriously confused. Mail servers don't use HTTP; they use SMTP, POP3, IMAP or a similar protocol.

If what you are asking is whether you can use a Web browser to open an FTP connection, the answer is yes; IE and most Mozilla browsers support the FTP protocol. You simply change the address type from http to ftp.

For example:

ftp:// user : pass @ www.someserver.com / somedirectory / somefile.txt

This tells the browser, "Using the FTP protocol, try to sign in to www.someserver.com with the user name user and the password pass; then, go into somedirectory and get the file named somefile.txt.

no, it's ftp ( file transfer protocol ) and only allows to copy to folder
