My advice is to try to learn from him. It really doesn't matter if he's arrogant. If he's successful, there's probably a lot you can learn if you put some effort into it.

Of course, if your only goal is getting a grade, and you don't care about learning anything, then it doesn't much matter what you decide, because you probably won't amount to anything anyway.
