I'm looking for a movie where the character (preferably a kid) sees something that (s)he doesn't feel is right and acts to change it. It doesn't have to be a HUGE injustice -I just need an example of a child taking some sort of action (i.e.: writing a letter, starting a petition, boycotting something, going to someone to ask for change) to make a change. The more movies the better! Thanks in advance for your help!

"Eight Men Out" featured a young kid starting a petition drive to stop the lies being printed about the 1919 White Soxs.
"Mr Smith Goes To Washington" has Jimmy Stewart's Boy Scout Troop organizing to support his actions when he takes the floor in Congress in a desperate attempt to block an unjust bill from passing.

Newsies is one. It's the story of the 1899 newsboys' strike. It's a movie starring Christian Bale, with many somewhat forgotten actors, but it's good nonetheless.
In the movie, the boys are not paid enough money for their work, so they petition and bring attention to their cause.
It's a musical, by the way.

I don't remember the name of the movie, but I think it is an episode of a television show that specialized mainly in putting children's books on screen(one of them was Jacob Have I Loved starring Bridget Fonda).
It's a true story about a kid that runs for, and wins the election for Sheriff in a Texas County.
