2 weeks before my period i started getting a heavier brown discharge and then around the 30th day of my cycle i had a 3 day period and it was light but consistent. A 3 day period is normal for me. I am sexually active but I am on birth control and he uses condoms. I was just wondering what it is?

Sounds like old blood but to be on the safe side check with your dr.

The brown stuff is dried up blood.

it could just be "old blood" in your body working it's way out. Your bodies own self cleaning system.

sounds like an std or could even be yeast infection get checked out.
