it will copy the screen.. then you can paste it anywhere

If you're using a laptop press the Function key (fn) and the print screen key at the same time (may be combined with another key).
If you're using a desktop simply press the print screen key.
After that open up Microsoft Word and select Ctrl + V, or paste. The image of the screen (inc toolbar, windows status bar) will appear for you to print.

Hit the PrtScr button (above the Insert button and to the right of the F12 key); then go to Start> Programs> Accessories> Paint. Click on Edit, and then click on Paste. The image of your screen should now be in Paint. Click on File, and then on Print, and you should get a printed copy of your the screen image (it may ask you to scale it down so that you can fit it onto a piece of paper).

Press and hold the control key, then press the prnt scrn key. After that open the paint program, go to edit and select paste. Your screen shot should be ready to print.
