The fans are more dangerous than the players on the pitch. Remember the Palermo x Catania match where the cop died. When the players are OFF the pitch they are more dangerous. Remember the Bellamy incident w/ Riise & the ***** golf club? oh man. football is too funny.
Football is a very physical sport though. That's the competition. Either man up and handle the pain or play....golf or something :D

No actually womens soccer has more injurys than any other sport and to the person who said it is wipy let me see you get slide tackeled and get up not crying you have no idea how rough soccer is untill you actually play with someone who nows what there doing! Trust me it is not easy you actually have to have skill, speed ,control, and a great leg! Trust me you could not go out there and play good it is very hard to practice for! Because there are no hands!!! you have to use your body more than any other sport!

I've played on many, many teams for over 35 years: grammar school, high school, collegiate, men's leagues. I'd guess somewhere around 1000 different guys. Of all the guys I've played with, the only SERIOUS injuries have been:
1 ruptured spleen (almost died)
1 broken leg
1 broken ribs
1 broken ankle
Compared to most any other sport, this is nothing.

Yes its very physical but not as dangerous as Rugby.
That is what I call dangerous.

Well it's dangerous when you take that idea of "fair play", but come on--there are no fair played games--or even less, friendlies! If footy wasn't really what you call physical, there wouldn't be any fouls!
