The United States spends 350 trillion dollars of tax money per year to keep drugs and drug dealers and makers off the streets. If we legalized drugs Americans would have to spend less money for taxes, be safer because there would be no need for gangs to kill over illegal drugs, and so on. So why can’t we combat something illegal by making it legal. We would save so much money and I believe the United States would be a safer place to live. What do you think? Yes or no. why or why not. Let me know please.

Well, they legalized alcohol and look at all the deaths
now that alcohol is sold in restaurants, drug stores, grocery
stores, and liquor stores. I don't think we should make the
same mistake with "drugs". Too many people using them
now. They are mind altering and people do things while
using them that they wouldn't ordinarily ever do (rape,
drive while impaired, murder, jump from buildings, and
look at Anna Nicole and Britney Spears.....shameful).
When something is legalized, it's like saying to the public
that it's safe for anyone to use. We know it is not. We should
run ads on tv about how dangerous drugs are to those who
use them. No, don't ever legalize them.

weed... possibly... heroin, cocaine, meth, etc... legal? no way... All of those drugs cause horrible side effects on people.. all three kill.... I definately dont think they should be legal, but I do think the US should spend less time prosecuting drug dealers/abusers... abusers need help, not jail.... drug dealers need help finding a GOOD job so they learn that there is another way to have money other than that... the US should spend more time punishing the people that rape out children...

ok..i deffinatly think drugs are bad..but you have a really good point..but even so..you'd see people all over the street high and stuff..and that's not good..if the US did legalize drugs, they should have a limit to how much you could smoke..which would still cause violence..so i dont really see the point in making it legal
