So here is the situation....my roommate is outside the US and wants to stop her Comcast service...she has given me her account info - can I call Comcast (or go to their Payment Center) and disconnect her service? Thanks for the info!!!!!

I am not sure if she has a positive balance on the account but if so....can I make a payment with my credit card?

It depends on how long she has had it, or how long it has been sense the last contract change. If it has been a year or more it probably can be canceled, but if she is going to be gone for less than two or three months, it doesn't make sense because it will cost more to set it back up. If it has been longer than a year, you will pay a bundle to exit the contract.

Yes you can if you can verify the address on the acct, name and last 4 of social security number. You can call 1800Comcast and they'll do it for you. Just don't tell them that you're doing it on behalf of your roommate. Just pretend you are your roommate. If that doesn't work you can just not pay the bill and it'll get turned off all by itself

hi, your friend needs to put you as a authorized user on the account without there permission for you to touch the account, nothing can be done
